How do I resize the pop-up used for a New Item form in an app?

Find the pop-up's name in the New Item button's events, select that pop-up in the page's component tree, and change its size in Style properties.

How-to

Short answer: The New Item form opens in a popup component on the page. Select that popup in the component tree and change its size.

Why it happens

  • The New Item button uses the Open popup action in its On click event to open a popup component on the page.
  • The popup's size is set in the popup's own Style properties, not on the button. Resizing the button changes only the button.

How to fix it

  1. Open the page in the page builder.
  2. Select the New Item button, open Event properties, and note the name of the popup in its Open popup action.
  3. In the component tree, select that popup.
  4. In Style properties, change the sizing. You can also adjust padding, margin, and border size, color, and radius here.
  5. Save and preview the page.
