Short answer: This often happens after a field is deleted while something still uses it, such as the item title, a workflow setting, a visibility rule or a view filter. Re-add the field. If that isn't the cause, check the browser and network, then contact Kissflow support.
Why it happens
- A deleted field can leave broken references in the item title, workflow configuration, visibility rules or saved view filters.
- Some cases are platform issues that Kissflow fixes on its side.
- Some cases affect only one user, browser or network.
How to fix it
If the error started right after you edited the form:
- Check whether you deleted a field.
- Re-add that field so the title, workflow, visibility rules and views can find it again.
If you see "Unexpected error in form configuration" on a new board with no in-progress items:
- Duplicate the section you changed.
- Delete the old section.
- Publish the board again.
If a view loads only sometimes, check that your network is stable, then refresh or sign out and back in.
If only one user gets the error, have them try another browser and clear cookies.
If every user gets the error in every browser, contact Kissflow support with the board ID.
