Why does Edit process or Simulate throw errors?

Clear your browser cache and cookies, try an incognito window, and contact Kissflow support if only one process fails.

Fix

Short answer: Errors such as "Unhandled server error", settings you can't click, or fields that are editable when they shouldn't be usually come from a stale browser cache. Clear it and try again.

Why it happens

  • Your browser keeps old files after a fix ships.
  • Some errors are platform issues that Kissflow fixes on its side.
  • A few come from one process's own configuration.

How to fix it

  1. Clear your browser cookies and cache, then sign in again.
  2. Try the same action in an incognito or private window.
  3. If Simulate won't start, check any conditions you added for initiators, then try again in incognito.
  4. If the error happens in only one process, contact Kissflow support. Send the process URL and the exact action that fails, for example publishing or adding a step.

Important

If the cause is a platform issue, clearing the cache won't help until Kissflow releases the fix.
