How-to
Short answer: Add a text field to the form and an integration that fills it each time someone at that step approves. You can then report on it or route the next step with it.
Why it happens
- When a step goes to a group, the form doesn't keep a field with the person who acted.
- Names typed in comments can't be pulled into reports, so you need a form field.
How to fix it
- Add a text field to the form, for example "Approved by".
- Create an integration with the Kissflow Process trigger When an item is approved by an assignee at this step, and select the step. It fires each time any assignee approves at that step, so with several approvers the field ends up holding the last one.
- Optional: add the User details action Get user data to fetch the approver's email.
- Add the process action Update an item and map the approver's name or email into the new field.
- Test the action, then turn on the integration.
To send the next step to the rest of the group but not this person:
- Write the next step's assignee as a formula with
ifconditions on the captured email. See user expressions.
Important
There is no built-in function that returns a group minus one user.
