Short answer: Draft items keep the lookup configuration they were created with. After you change a lookup's filters or Automatically select the first value based on the filters and go live, discard the old drafts and create new items.
Why it happens
- Drafts created before you published a change still use the old filter and auto-select settings.
- In one case, auto-select returned data from a deleted item. That was a product bug.
How to fix it
- Change the lookup's filters or auto-select setting and click Go live.
- Discard any draft items created before the change.
- Create a new item and check that the lookup fills as expected.
- Make sure the filter matches only the record you want. Auto-select picks the first match.
If auto-select returns a stale or deleted record while the same lookup without auto-select returns the right one, contact Kissflow support with the flow name and an example item.
If a dropdown linked to a dataset shows both the old and new value after you edit a dataset record, check whether the field has filters or auto-select turned on, and report it to Kissflow support.
