Fix
Short answer: After three failed password attempts, Kissflow blocks the user for 30 minutes. Wait, or ask a Super Admin to unlock you. If the whole account is blocked, check for unpaid invoices.
Why it happens
- User lock: three wrong password attempts block the user for 30 minutes.
- Duplicate account: an old inactive user with the same email can clash with the new one.
- Whole-account block: unpaid invoices.
How to fix it
For a locked user:
- Wait 30 minutes and try again, or ask a Super Admin to unlock you.
- Super Admins: click your profile picture > Account administration > User management, find the user, click the exclamation mark and click Unlock now.
- Send the user a reset-password link from User management > Reset password. They must open it within 24 hours. See resetting a password.
- If the user's email moved from another account, check that no inactive duplicate still uses the same email.
For a blocked account:
- Ask your finance team whether any invoices are pending.
- Once payment is made, contact Kissflow support so billing can unblock the account.
If the lock is in an app your company built on Kissflow, contact your internal admin.
Important
Unverified and inactive users don't receive reset-password emails. If Sign in with Kissflow is turned off for your account, reset emails aren't sent at all.
