Building integrations

Create Google Calendar events automatically from a Kissflow form

Use an integration with the Google Calendar connector so a form submission creates a calendar event for the right person.

Tip

Short answer: Build an integration that starts when a form is submitted and adds a Google Calendar action. Each submission then creates a meeting on the right calendar, with no manual scheduling.

When to use this

Use it when a request should lead to a meeting. For example, an engineer submits a form about an urgent bug, and an event appears on the team lead's Google Calendar so they can pull the right people into a quick troubleshooting session.

Set it up

  1. Create an integration.
  2. Set the trigger to the form submission, for example the Kissflow Process trigger When a draft item is submitted.
  3. Click Test trigger.
  4. Add an action, search for Google Calendar, and choose Add a quick event or Create a detailed event.
  5. Click +Add an account and sign in with your Google account.
  6. Map the event fields from your form fields. Add a quick event reads the date, time and description from a line of text. Create a detailed event lets you set each field, such as the title, time and attendees.
  7. Test the action.
  8. Turn on the integration.

See the Google Calendar connector for every action it supports.

Tip

You can set event permissions, such as letting attendees modify the event, invite others, and see the guest list.

Note

The Google Calendar connector has actions only, no triggers. You need a valid Google Calendar account and a paid Kissflow plan.
