How-to
Short answer: Fields outside a table can't read table columns directly. Add an aggregation field and turn on Aggregate table data in the context of a single item of the process.
Why it happens
- Table data reaches the rest of the form only through an aggregation field.
- If the single-item option is off, the field aggregates other flows instead, so your table total stays empty.
How to fix it
- Add an aggregation field outside the table.
- Turn on Aggregate table data in the context of a single item of the process.
- Under Choose a flow to look up, select the table. Under Select a field to aggregate, select the column.
- Pick the Aggregation type:
- SUM totals a Number, Currency or Slider column.
- COUNT counts the values in a column.
- CONCATENATE joins a Text, Text area or Dropdown column across rows.
- AVERAGE works on Number, Currency, Rating and Slider columns.
- MIN and MAX also work on Date and Date & Time columns.
- To use a table value in a formula outside the table, or in the item name, reference the aggregation field.
To total amounts that come from a lookup, first copy them into a Number column, then sum that column.
To copy a table into a table in another process, use an integration with Update an item or Create and submit a new item. See the Kissflow Process connector.
Important
COUNT counts rows that have a value, not unique values. CONCATENATE keeps duplicates. To aggregate only some rows, add a condition in the field's Filter settings.
