How-to
Short answer: You can't edit the predefined notifications, but you can turn them off and create your own. For full control over content and recipients, send the email from an integration.
Why it happens
- Predefined item notifications, such as Item assigned, can only be turned on or off.
- Custom notifications let you pick the event, conditions, recipients, and content.
How to fix it
To replace a default notification in a process:
- Click Manage > Settings > Notification settings.
- Click + New notification and select the event, for example Item assigned.
- Set conditions and recipients, then click Next.
- Write the Email content, Web app & push content, and Bot content, then click Next.
- Preview it and click Create.
- Turn off the predefined notification for the same event so users don't get two.
In apps, click the Settings button in the app's left panel > Notification settings in the development environment, then redeploy. In testing and production you can only turn notifications on or off. See notifications in apps.
To control content, attachments, or outside recipients:
- Build an integration with a Kissflow Process trigger.
- Add the Email connector action Send an email. Set Reply to if replies shouldn't go to the default sender, prdadmin@kissflow.com.
To change the sender name and address:
- A Super Admin adds a custom SMTP server and fills in the Sender profile: Sender name, Sender email, and Reply-to email.
See SMTP server settings.
Important
Custom SMTP servers are available on Enterprise plans only. Notification titles may appear in English regardless of the account language.
