How-to
Short answer: Check the connector list first. If the app isn't there, call its REST API with the HTTP connector.
Why it happens
- Kissflow ships connectors for many apps, but not every app. Any app with a REST API can still be reached over HTTP.
How to fix it
- Check the connector list. Several apps have their own connector, such as monday.com, SFTP, OpenAI, Jira, Zendesk and Twilio, which can send WhatsApp messages.
- If there's no connector, get the app's REST API details and test the call in Postman first. If the call doesn't work in Postman, it won't work in Kissflow. Take it up with the app's vendor.
- Add the HTTP connector to your integration. It has Make an HTTP call (POST), (GET), (PUT) and (Custom) actions.
- Use Make an HTTP call (Custom) for other methods such as DELETE, for nested JSON bodies such as a header with line items, and for file uploads as form data.
- Pick the authentication type the API needs: none, basic, API key or OAuth.
- Map your Kissflow fields into the body, headers or query parameters, then test the action.
Other options:
- For a SOAP service, use the SOAP connector.
- To read MySQL or MSSQL data in an app without copying it, use external data objects (Enterprise).
- To package an API as a reusable connector, use the connector builder.
Important
Email bodies don't support iframes or embedded forms. To collect a survey response, put the survey link in a Send an email action instead.
