Tip
Short answer: Create an integration with a Kissflow Process trigger and the Slack action Send a channel message. Each time an item finishes its workflow, a message goes to the channel, so nobody has to post updates by hand.
When to use this
Use this when a team works in Slack and needs to hear about approvals. For example, when a proposal completes its approval process, a message in the communications channel says whose proposal was approved.
Set it up
- Click Create in the left navigation panel and select Integration. Enter a name and description, and click Create.
- Add the Kissflow Process trigger When an item completes its workflow, select your process, and click Test trigger.
- Add an action step, search for Slack, and select Send a channel message.
- Click + Add an account, sign in with your Slack account, and choose the channel.
- Write the message, mapping fields from the trigger step, such as the item name and initiator.
- Click Test to check the action.
- Turn on the toggle to activate the integration.
See Slack connector for all Slack actions.
Tip
The Slack connector can also create channels, invite users to a channel, and send direct messages. You can schedule a message for a later time.
