How-to
Short answer: Turn on Multilingual settings for the process or board and add a translation for each language. Labels you translate change; system text and some answer options don't.
Why it happens
- Multilingual settings translate form labels and step names only. Admin activities under More options stay in the form's source language.
- System actions, such as the Yes/No choice and the Attachment button, follow the user's own language preference, not the form translation.
- Each user sees the form in their profile language. If they haven't set one, the account language applies. If neither matches a translation, the form shows in its original language.
- Radio button answer options aren't translated. This is current behavior.
How to fix it
- Open the process or board and click Manage > Settings > Multilingual settings.
- Turn on Configure multiple languages.
- Click +Add language, then choose Translate manually or AI translate.
- For a manual translation, click Download JSON, translate the file, then click Import JSON and Add.
- When you add fields later, download the JSON again, translate the new labels, and use More options > Replace JSON. A warning shows how many labels are still untranslated. For an AI translation, use More options > Retranslate with AI instead.
- Ask each user to pick their language under My settings > Personal info > Format settings > Language.
On a public form, visitors pick their language from the Language icon at the top right of the form.
See multilingual settings in forms and personal info and format settings.
Important
Multilingual forms are available on the Enterprise plan, for standalone processes and boards. Only languages supported at the platform level can be added.
