How do I get an email alert when a dataset record changes?

Short answer: Create an integration that uses the Kissflow Dataset connector to detect the change and an email action to send the updated details.

When to use this

Use this when critical information lives in a dataset and someone needs to know right away when it changes. For example, when a department changes its budget in a budget dataset (say from 50,000 to 45,000 USD), the finance manager automatically gets an email with the updated budget details.

Set it up

1. Create an integration.
2. Add the Kissflow Dataset trigger When an existing row is updated and choose your dataset.
3. Add the Send an email action.
4. Enter the recipient, for example the finance manager, in the To field.
5. In the email body, type / and insert the updated row fields from the trigger step.
6. Test, then turn on the integration.
