Show process instance IDs in process reports

Short answer: Reports can't show the process instance ID directly. Add a text field to the form with the formula _id, then add that field to the report.

When to use this

Use this when you need each item's instance ID next to its data, for example to prepare a bulk update, to match items with an integration, or to look items up through the API.

Set it up

1. Click Manage > Edit process and open the form.
2. Add a Text field, for example "Instance ID".
3. Set its formula to _id.
4. Hide the field in the step permissions if users don't need to see it.
5. Click Go live.
6. Open your report and add the new field as a column.
