Why won't my board view save, or why aren't my style and filter changes applied?

Re-add any deleted field the view uses, add yourself to the view and board, and clear cache if style changes don't show.

Short answer: Check whether the view's filter uses a deleted field and re-add it. In apps, add yourself to the view and the board before saving. If style changes don't show, refresh and clear your browser cache.

Why it happens

  • A saved filter can still point to a field that was deleted.
  • Editing an existing board view inside an app has had a known save error.
  • Style changes in list and board views sometimes don't show until the view reloads.

How to fix it

If a filter or other view change doesn't apply:

  1. Check whether the view uses a field you deleted.
  2. Re-add that field.

If saving an existing board view in an app fails:

  1. Add yourself to the view and to the board.
  2. Save again.

If style changes (colors, fonts) show in the properties panel but not in the view:

  1. Make sure you clicked Save.
  2. Refresh or reopen the view.
  3. Clear your browser cache or try a private window.

If a page shows "Board view not found":

  1. Open the app with Edit app in the development environment.
  2. Check that the board view on the page still exists.
