Tip
Short answer: Use the Kissflow Dataset connector to retrieve the updated row, then send its details to the relevant managers in an email.
When to use this
Use this when you keep reference data, such as a dataset of department managers, and people need to know as soon as it changes. For example, when a manager's department is updated in the dataset, the integration emails the updated details to the relevant managers. This keeps the team informed of organizational changes so they can respond quickly.
Set it up
- Create an integration.
- Add the Kissflow Dataset trigger When an existing row is updated and choose your department dataset.
- Add the Kissflow Dataset action Retrieve a row from a dataset to fetch the updated row.
- Add the Send an email action.
- Address the email to the relevant managers. In the email body, type / and insert the retrieved row data.
- Test, then turn on the integration.
Tip
When you fetch a dataset row as a table, complex fields such as user fields are hidden by default. Add them to the email body as separate fields instead of inside the table.
